                    Adopt-a-Tree 2011!
http://www.miamidade.gov/derm/adoptatree.asp

The Adopt-a-Tree program is back in 2011 to help the residents of Miami-Dade County "plant for the future." If you are a Miami-Dade single-family or duplex homeowner, you may be eligible to receive 2 FREE trees in 2011, even if you have adopted trees in past years.

Trees reduce air-conditioning costs by providing shade, while the extra landscaping improves a home's appearance. At Adopt-a-Tree events, experts show residents how to properly plant and care for their new trees.

Go to the link above for updates on available trees and other information, and sign up for email updates on Adopt-a-Tree and other DERM events.

Last call for free trees this year :
Adopt-a-Tree offers more than just trees. You can also bring your old showerheads and standard light bulbs to exchange them for more energy efficient models. The clincher: It's all free. See you at the park.

Print and fill out the Adopt-a-Tree registration form, and bring it with photo ID to the event.
Learn about the showerhead and light bulb exchanges also taking place
Tree quantities are limited at each event and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
